Technical Service Bulletins
Your auto technician uses Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) when diagnosing and repairing your vehicle. TSBs are notifications sent from vehicle manufacturers and are intended to advise their new car dealer's service departments. These bulletins may contain information ranging from diagnostic and repair procedures for a known vehicle issues to notifying dealerships about new and/or improved parts, warranty and service manual updates, or to update company policies and procedures.
In most circumstances, the manufacturer will only pay for TSB repairs if the vehicle is still within its factory warranty period. Most "Extended Warranty" policies will also include TSB related repairs. Otherwise the customer is responsible for the repairs.
